THE PROPERTY This grass paddock is recorded on the Rural Land Register as being 2.66 hectares (6.57 acres) excluding the area of wildlife pond so the field will be slightly larger.
LOCATION This field is situated on the south side of the access track leading to Reighton Hall which meets Church Hill at the top bend.
At the Dotterill roundabout (where the shepherd and sheep are visible on the roundabout) take the turn for Speeton, Bempton and Flamborough, then almost immediately turn left on to Church Hill. At the first left hand bend right on the corner of the hill, beside the red post box, turn right off Church Hill and go up the track past the last house on the right. The field is marked by a flagboard.
RECENT USE The field is down to Permanent Grass and has been grazed with sheep in recent years and last year was cut for hay.
LAND CLASSIFICATION The land is classified as Grade 3 on the Agricultural Land Classification Maps.
SURVEY OF ENGLAND & WALES Hunstanton range of soils described as "deep well drained often reddish fine and coarse loamy soils. Some similar calcareous soils over chalk".
